INTERNSHIP - services available

LOOKING FOR A SUMMER INTERNSHIP?

The Office of Career Services has a binder of summer internship listings. Many of these positions are paid. These listings include internships at:

-Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies
-Congressional Management Foundation
-Harpers Ferry National Historical Park
-Institute for Humane Studies
-GEICO Summer Leadership Development Program
-Marine Corps Marathon
-National Gallery of Art
-National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration
-Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

The deadline to register for a summer internship is Friday, June 3. However, some agencies may have their own application deadline dates. Also, please note that you must have completed at least 58 credit hours to be eligible to receive internship credit. Stop by Career Services, GW 305, or call 654-1022 for more information.

Another note on internships: Don’t forget, we have purchased access to an on-line internship site that you may want to check out. Go to www.internships-usa.com and click on the link that says “The Internship Series on Line”. At the password prompt enter the following: User Name: degree Password: work. This is designed to be the most comprehensive source of internship information on the web. The site provides full, up-to-date information on over 2,800 organizations offering internships and summer jobs for students.
